Danish Test Facilities

Denmark already has a unique platform that makes it easier for companies to test, demonstrate, and develop new technologies and products. The Danish Test Facilities platform was developed with support from a broad range of industry and knowledge institutions—and now it is also gaining international attention.

At the EU’s upcoming Research and Technology Infrastructure Summit (RTI Summit 2025) in Copenhagen on October 22–23, the platform will be presented to the EU Commissioner and the Danish Minister for Science, Innovation, and Higher Education, among others. DTU will also participate with five stands highlighting Denmark’s strengths in research and technology development.

Broad support from Danish industry

Danske Testfaciliteter is not a niche portal, but a national hub for innovation. Behind the platform is a steering group with representatives from:

  • The GTS network

  • Danish Technological Institute (TI)

  • ATV

  • Danish Metal

  • Lif

  • Ministry of Education and Research (UFM)

  • IDA

  • Industry associations

  • Novo Nordisk et al.

The platform was originally created on behalf of the Ministry of Business and Industry and today serves as a comprehensive digital overview of more than 400 Danish testing, demonstration, and development facilities.

The platform makes it easy for companies to gain quick access to more than 400 testing and development facilities in Denmark, where they can test and document new solutions – often a prerequisite for entering the market. At the same time, it opens the door to experts and partners who can contribute to the development process.

For SMEs and start-ups in particular, this means access to resources that they would not otherwise have at their disposal, which strengthens their innovative capacity and accelerates the path from idea to finished product. In addition, the portal gives companies the opportunity to achieve greater visibility and participate in networks at both national and international level.
